Good can come from the destruction of the World Trade Center only if it makes us put aside our indifference and learn to love and respect others. Americans can use this experience of suffering to reach out to others who are suffering. Already we have seen an outpouring of giving to New Yorkers and now we need to take the opportunity to love our enemies and give something tangible to them. We grow as individuals when we choose love over fear and compassion over hatred. Our diversity is the true beauty within us all.
