WTC Architects' Proposals
January 11, 2003

World Trade Center/Ground Zero

This is what the former World Trade Center site, "Ground Zero," looked like in January, 2003.

World Financial Center

Across the street from Ground Zero is the World Financial Center. Although the World Financial Center was damaged during the tragedies, it has been cleaned, renovated, and restored.

Proposals

Many individuals and companies submitted proposals outlining new ideas for the former World Trade Center site. This competition was narrowed down to 6 design firms. The designs submitted by these companies were displayed in the lobby of the World Financial Center.
