Some of the reactions of my children are here. Their father lives in NYC, and they were worried about him that morning. In the New York Times, the wedding announcements are in a similar format and writing style as the memorials to those who passed away in the towers. I was thinking about that irony, as well as the fashions worn by society matrons, when I made this quilt.
